16 Aug - Addo Elephant Park

Woke to a light drizzle packed up and went out to see if we could see the lion that we had heard overnight. We found a huge beautiful specimen of a male lion on a buffalo kill close to camp. He had over eaten and could hardly move ..he eventually roused himself to call his equally large brother who came and also gorged himself on the buffalo.
Saw a lot of birds, many skinny kudu, large tortoise, many warthog including some white ones (from rolling in white clay)
We spent the night with Colleen's mom and dad (Billy and Glenda Robinson and Pinkie the dog) in Sunlands, Sunday's River Valley. We haven't seen them since our trip to Namibia about 12 years ago. They cooked us a delicious supper and lots of reminiscing was done over a few glasses of wine!
