Drove straight to Diemersfontein and did a wine tasting and bought a case or two to be freighted home..it was a bit early so didn't do too much tasting!! It is a beautiful estate with a housing development on it and olive orchards.
Drove to Darling but unfortunately everything seems to close on a Monday.. including the craft brewery and Eva's se Possen.!! The arum lilies are still amazing!
Drove to Alexanderfontein Estate and did an olive and olive oil tasting, plus jams, wine, spices, chutneys, soaps and hand creams..it is also a lovely estate.
Drove into the West Coast National Park, where the flowers are almost in full bloom,
especially in the Posberg area. Saw lots of ostriches and huge Eland amongst the flowers.
We are camped on the beach at a lovely municipal site at Langebaan right next to Strandloopers beach restaurant.
It is chilly, but us Natalians are tough and are managing just fine !!
