The breeze was still icy but warmed up as the day progressed. We walked up the beach to Mykonos and then in the opposite direction to Strandlopers restaurant...oh what disappointment to find it closed during the week, out of season. We had planned to have a lovely leisurely lunch !!
The beach is full of mussels, limpets a few shells and lots of Seagulls and Oystercatchers.The Seagulls kept us amused as we watched them pick mussels then fly up and drop them on a rock a few times in order to brake them open to be able to eat them.
There are lots of lovely homes along the sea front.
We were excited to find flowers right on the beach in front of the park, which is very pleasant with paved parking areas surrounded by lush lawns for the campervans and a wonderful view of the sea. (R55 pp)
Oh no. Such a pity about Strandloper. Love that place. X
