Glenda and Billy cooked us a wonderful breakfast before setting off through this lovely citrus area.
We drove through Uitenhage, Loerie, Hankey and stopped at a quaint restaurant (Padlangs) for lunch in Patensie. (Note the sign at the toilet entrance!)
Drove through orchards of oranges and lemons being picked and transported to pack houses. The nartjies have almost finished baring.
I have never seen a field of butternuts before!!
Had a lovely scenic drive through part of Baviaanskloof in the Gamtoos Valley which is a World Heritage Site.
We have stopped to spend the night at Kudu Kaya. When I asked if I could buy a few oranges as there is a wonderful orange orchard at reception, I was handed a pocket, on the house!

Happy birthday Helen. Looks like you are having a fabulous time. Have a wonderful day and continue to enjoy the trip.
