16 Sept - Upington (Oranjerus) to Clanwilliam (Rondeberg)

Another long day in the car listening to the audible. The exciting part was watching the storm clouds accumulating klms away and then driving through the rain. The temperature dropped to 7°at midday...what a difference to 2 weeks ago when we were here, I had to buy shorts it was so hot.
Drove past Niewoudtsville and a few different flowers were out on the side of the road compared to our trip up.

Carried on to Vanrhynsdorp and Vredendaal and then stopped at The Keldery (Namaqua Wine Estate) to stock up and ordered a few cases for delivery home. Also had a meal there as we had so enjoyed their food when we popped in a few weeks ago.
The canals running for kms throughout the vineyard areas is an amazing form of irrigation. They are starting to cover the vines to protect the fruit from the birds.

There has been quite a transformation of the country side in a couple of weeks. Everything is so much greener.

Camped Back at Rondeberg outside Clanwilliam with our own private facilities again.(R150pp)
