21 Sept - Cape Town

Woke to lovely farmeryard sounds!
The cows were being fed homegrown carrots.
Headed off for a drive to Cape Point and passed through Simonstown where the navy was having a fun run. We also went through Fish Hoek, Kalk Bay, Scarborough, Misty Cliffs, Muizenberg etc. Could not believe how many surfers there were in Muizenberg (the water is so cold!!).
Arrived at Jonkershuis (Groot Constantia) to meet up with past Westerville Athletic Club members for lunch (Dawn & Aubrey Springer, Ann & Garry Goldsworthy and Moira Standley - unfortunately Adrian could not make it) What a wonderful afternoon with great company, great food and lovely venue. As it was a beautiful day we chose to sit outside under the lovely old Plane Trees.
Popped into Moira's for a glass of wine on our way back to Chapman's Farm campsite.

  1. Love Jonkershuis. We had my Dad's 80th Birthday lunch there - 2 weeks before he passed away, so it holds many special memories for me. XX (missing you guys) X
