5 Sept - Rechtersveld (Richtersberg)

A lazy day. Basil did some fly -fishing in the river this morning, he was not successful, but had fun. The weather was a lot cooler today and even had some cloud cover which is unusual. Went for a walk looking at all the amazing rock formations.
Enjoyed the afternoon watching the birds and monkeys, who are quite a menace. We could hear the baboons fighting on the island down stream.. sounded like some one was being murdered.
Played boulle and Basil beat me badly! ..need a re match!
We had an early evening braai with homemade bread whilst enjoying a lovely sunset over the river.
The fire flies are everywhere..haven't seen so many since I was a kid. They are especially pretty reflecting on the river.
Have 6 other campers here tonight..The ablution block has one ladies toilet and a cold shower. Fortunately we are self sufficient so could enjoy a hot shower.
