It is another beautiful day and went to visit Kolmannskuppe Ghost Town. We did a tour of the Old German diamond mining town which was very interesting. They had a hospital, school, a huge hall which served as a church, entertainment area and gym. Underneath they had a pub and bowling alley. Most of their provisions were imported from Germany. The richest person there was a lady who owned the shop!!! They also had their own power station back in 1910. Water ( which was shipped from CT) and ice made on-site was delivered daily to each household on their own public transport (mule drawn train).
The block of ice was placed inside the top of the cupboard/fridge and the melting water caught for drinking water.
It all fell apart when bigger diamonds were found in Oranjemund.
Between Luderitz and Aus wild Namibian horses roam..shame, I don't know what the poor things eat.
We had a long drive (6hrs) on good dirt roads to Sesreim, unfortunately a stone from a passing car cracked our widescreen.
