18 Sept - Lamberts Bay (Malkoppan Guest Farm)

Woke to a beautiful day. Hope the weather holds as we are off to have lunch at the infamous Muisbosskerm which is 30 years old. It is right on the beach and serves local West Coast food cooked over open fires and wood ovens.
Wow what a spread. There were at least 6 different kinds of fish, mussels, calamari and other than the fish there was oxtail, lamb stew, pork, waterblommetjies, homemade bread with homemade preserves, etc. They gave us mussel shells instead of utensils to eat our lunch with! This was followed by coffee and koeksisters.
We had to have a walk on the Beach as we had over eaten. The beach was strewn with mussel and limpet shells and cuttlefish.
The camp site is right across the road so an easy walk home after lunch!.(R75pp)
