15 Sept - Kgalagadi (Nossob) to Upington (Oranjerus)

We woke to the wonderful sound of lions roaring last night..It certainly is the most amazing sound. Their sound got closer and closer and when we left this morning we could see from their tracks that they had been near the fence.
Our early start was rewarded be seeing the most beautiful sunrise only to then come across a Cheetah on the hunt with her 4 cubs, right on the road. We were the only spectators and she was not at all concerned and walked along the road next to us for at least 15 mins before heading off into the scrub. Then came across a porcupin running across the road in front of us and a number of bateleur eagles.
Went shopping for supplies at the new Khalahari Mall in Upington. Very smart with all the usual Mall shops not typical Upington.
We are staying at Oranjerus about 30 mins down the Orange River. Lovely green lawns, shady trees and the sound of the river flowing over rapids. (R110pp)
Having a sundowner watching a beautiful sunset, before going off to supper at their restaurant.
