2Sept - The Growcery (Orange/Gareip River)

Quite a chilly evening and woke to a beautiful day. The chilly evening made us make the decision not to do the rafting and sleeping under the stars.
Donned our shorts and went for a lovely long walk along the dry river bed in an amazing canyon...of course Lucy came with us.
Spent a lazy afternoon looking at the lovely birds around camp. A few of our firsts being a Swallow-tail Bee-eater, Karoo Thrush and Orange river White Eyes who are too cute and very inquisitive.

The camp is really unique with semi outdoor showers, homemade vanities, cute pub.It is friendly and well managed by Gavin and his team.

Basil gave me a pedicure this afternoon !!! Pretty good.
