Although we had a full camp last night it was very quite and peaceful. Woke early in case the monkeys invaded us again, and watched the sun come up through the clouds. Said farewell to the guys we had met and set off for Kokerboomkloof. Although it's only about 32km it still took about 4 hours as we had many photo stops and bad roads. I never thought barren mountains could be so fascinating and beautuiful.
Stopped off at two view sites along route which had magnificent views of the country side and amazing rock formations.
Got to the camp and selected a site in amongst enormous rocks. It is aptly name Kokerboomkloof (Quiver tree kloof) because of all the trees.Unfortunately a lot are dyiing due to a disease.
The camps are well spread so had our shower in glorious sunshine.
As the sun sets the rocks take on different colors and different shapes appear, which is really beautiful.

Hi B&H, amazing blog! We are leaving in two days and have heard that the flowers are amazing in Skilpad so hopefully we will get a good viewing next week. Staying in Kamieskroon on Monday evening and then going to wing it. Obviously our paths won't cross as you are now long gone into Namibia. What an amazing journey you are having, looking forward to reading more posts. Lots of love Sue xx
